The Annual MPPI Conference has been an important and valuable event for the Montessori advocacy community since its inception, bringing our advocates together to learn, grow our networks, strengthen relationships within and outside of the Montessori community, and sharpen our advocacy skills.

In the spirit of MPPI’s vision of equitable access to high fidelity Montessori, we have made the decision to offer full preconference events at both AMI/USA’s Montessori Experience and the AMS Montessori Event in place of our annual conference. Our hope is that by adding our MPPI conference to those of our parent organizations, we will be able to make our events more accessible with lower costs for attendees and reduced pressure of having to choose between conferences.

MPPI will be hosting a Pre-Conference session at the 2026 AMI/USA Montessori Experience on Friday February 13th in San Diego, where we are planning a roundtable session with policy makers and Montessori advocates. Click here to register for The 2026 Montessori Experience.

Then MPPI will host a full-day Pre-Conference session at the 2026 AMS Montessori Event on Thursday, March 19th in Washington D.C. At the AMS Event we will be heading to Capitol Hill to meet with federal legislators and/or their staff.

Both days will also be spent in sessions with policy updates and advocacy skills practice, and in meetings and conversations with policy makers. In addition to learning experiences and skill building, our goal in both of these events is to hone our messaging and engage policy makers to articulate our policy needs so we can move the needle on creating equitable access to high quality Montessori programs.

Registration for these events will be available through AMI/USA with their AMI/USA Experience Registration and AMS with their AMS Montessori Event Registration. We will be sure to share these links as soon as they are available. Mark your calendars today to include the MPPI Pre-Conference Sessions in 2026 and increase the presence of Montessori friendly legislation and rule!

We look forward to seeing, working, and making policy progress with all of you in 2026! Click here for The 2026 Montessori Event- Early Bird Registration.
